Jorge's Class
Daily Updated Notes
Started Off...Started off class with a warm up (in the notes section) to review what we've learned the day before. On the third question we went on learning something new. Afterwards, we continued on the packet that was handed out yesterday, and did section #6 which is what we learned about the the question on the warm up. Notesax^2+bx+c - a new expression that we learned today, and knowing it is a quadratic. If the expression is in a different order, then switch them into the correct way. But if the number of variables or the x^2 is different or not there, it is not a quadratic. To solve these expressions, you'll need to figure out what two numbers when added together equal the bx part of the expression and if those same numbers when multiplied equal the c portion. The answer the example problem is (x+2)(x+4) because 2+4=6 & 2x4=8.

Started Off...Started off class with learning a new concept, factoring and quadratics. First step is to know how to 'break it up' (example shown in notes) and with knowing which method to use to break it up the correct way. After learning about GFC and how to break up an expression, we started on a new worksheet to get a better understanding. NotesGCF - Greatest Common Factor
Started Off...Started off class with going over a question of the worksheet that was handed out. After ward we started our pie graphs on the amount of money being donated to our proposition. NotesNo notes today!
Started Off... Started off with a simple warm up. After going over the warm up, we started a new circle worksheet. But before starting, we explained the basics on how to answer the problems. Notes No notes today, but there was a worksheet handed out today, so check out the Worksheet page to see it!
Started Off... Started off class with answering questions and seeing how the class was with finishing the circle worksheet. Once you were finished with it, you could work on the math portion of your proposition. That would include where the money is coming from if your prop were to pass, what age group would most likely be for or against your prop, etc. Notes No notes were taken today nor was there a worksheet assigned. You could work on figuring out the numbers of your proposition if you wanted too.
Started Off... Started off class with answering any questions that anyone had about the worksheet that was passed out the day before. We then continued on with the same worksheet with a better understanding of the topic. Notes No notes, just continue working on the circle page, and it is not due!
Started Off... Started off class with reviewing what we learned about probability yesterday, and answering questions about the worksheet that was handed out. We then moved onto pie graphs and understanding circles. First we agreed on what we already know about circles (how to find the area, circumference, radius etc), and then learned about angles and arcs. central angle = the angle connected with the center of the circle arc measure = the arc created by the central angle Notes Check the Worksheet Page for the worksheet! Check the worksheet page to see the worksheet that was handed out!
Started off....Started off class with learning about probability with Compound Events, meaning 2 or more events. Also learned about what Independent and Dependent variables are. Independent: probability doesn't change Dependent: probability changes depending on your 1st choice, 2nd choice etc. Work?Using what we learned, we worked on a worksheet that will be due tomorrow at the end of class.
