In ClassToday we learned a new topic , logs. Which is a a way to undo exponents. Log form is logmN=x and exponential form being m^x=N. To get the hang of the new concept we practiced it a few times, as seen below. NotesA packet was passed out as a practice of logs to fully understand. If you're trying to take the college course, continue on the worksheets from last week and ask many questions to be prepared.
In ClassWith the new unit coming up, there needs to be a review of the math that we learned last year in order to start trigonometry. Also, the math college course test will be on May 8th and Jorge wants to prep us to be able to take that course. And so today in class we had worksheets to choose fro if we anted to work on the college course or on the trigonometry or both. It'll me like this for a few days, work independently. In ClassToday was the big day of our test! A group test working on equations and graphing them, using the tools that we've learned. NotesNo notes!
In ClassSince yesterday we took the Checking For Understanding, today we went over the answers in order to see what we are struggling with. We then worked on the study guide with our table. NotesFinish the study guide that was handed out today, and don't forget the group test on Monday!
In ClassWelcome back from spring break! In class, we didn;t do any math since we all got back from vacation. Instead we saw videos that went viral over the break and discussed them as a class. NotesNo notes for today.
In ClassStarted off in class with a warm up on how to use synthetic division to find the zeroes in equations. Using step by step as they are pictured below. We then continued with worksheet that was passed out yesterday, which is also listed below. NotesNo notes, work on the worksheet will be counted as as homework!
In ClassIn the beginning of class we had a discussion not at all related to math, but after that 30 minute talk we worked on the paper that was past out yesterday. If you were done with it or it was too easy you were given another worksheet. NotesHere's the second worksheet that was given
In ClassStarted class with a warm up of polynomials and synthetic division. After checking our answers we did our 4th checking for understanding on exponents and synthetic division. A worksheet was then passed out that was homework but is not due tomorrow, just a practice! NotesBelow are the warm up and the worksheet that was passed out.
